There had been a pall of expectancy all weekend after the St. Louis Mayor and St. Louis County Executive held a joint press conference that Friday afternoon before the eventual Monday announcement. Among other things, they discussed law enforcement's plans to handle the after effects of a no true bill decision regarding the indictment of Ferguson Police officer Darren Wilson. The prosecuting attorney, Robert McCullough, had promised the public and local school districts weeks prior that they would be given 48 hours notice once a decision had been made by the grand jury. The speculation was that a joint Friday press conference was a precursor to a Sunday announcement.
Sunday came and in the early afternoon it was leaked to the media that no grand jury decision would be announced. The St. Louis region had been on high alert for the last two weeks once it was known that the grand jury was finishing up its work and that a decision was imminent. It was also disclosed that the grand jury would be meeting again on Monday morning. This was unusual and significant because the grand jury normally met once a week and only on Wednesdays. I was hosting a good friend who was covering the decision for The Blaze TV network so we headed to South St. Louis on Sunday evening to cover demonstrators who were first shutting down a highway and then a major street in the city of St. Louis. They were relatively peaceful with the sentiment among them that there probab... of Officer Darren Wilson.
Monday came and anger seemed to replace the pall of expectancy among the public. Thanksgiving was a few days away and still there was no indication that a decision was forthcoming. About mid afternoon, rumors started percolating from unknown sources that an announcement would be made that day. Then later it was confirmed that the prosecuting attorney had said that an announcement might be made today. Then it was finally confirmed: the grand jury had reached a decision and an announcement would be made at 6 pm CST.
Although it was announced that 6 pm would be the time, we later learned the announcement would be pushed back to 8 pm instead. Many have questioned the wisdom of announcing such a potentially controversial decision at night, especially since all of the previous mayhem occurred at night, but the explanation from officials was they wanted to make sure students and workers in Clayton - the St. Louis County seat and location of the decision and grand jury - would be out of harms way in case there was trouble from unhappy people. My friend and I decided to stay in Clayton for the announcement. We figured that was where the most protestors would be and where my friend could get the best video footage. We thought wrong. Reports kept coming throughout the evening that protestors were gathering at the Ferguson police station instead and that some of them were getting rowdy. At 7:40 we hopped in my vehicle and made the 20 minute trip to Ferguson.
We arrived in Ferguson at precisely 8 pm and parked about a block from the Ferguson police station. As we were walking towards the crowds, my friend checked his smartphone and saw a report on the USA Today website reporting sources close to the Brown family saying Officer Wilson would not be indicted. I thought others would see the same reports and that it was only a matter of time before all hell broke lose. It didn't. Ferguson police along with the state police were in full riot gear behind barricades in front of the police station.
There were probably about 500 people milling around with some carrying bullhorns decrying racism and police misconduct. The media, both local and national and probably international too, were present and there was a van in a parking lot blasting out a rap song with the lyrics "F*ck the police." There was a palpable tension in the air that you could literally cut with a knife. At about 8:15, a short woman wearing a knit cap and sunglasses (it was fully dark at that time) with a four person entourage knifed their way through the crowd bumping into people while apologizing unconvincingly. As these folks made their way to the makeshift stage in front of the police station, whispers broke out among the crowd that the woman leading the entourage was Leslie McSpadden, Michael Brown's mother.
I told my friend who the person was and we followed her to the hood of car that I later learned was the makeshift stage. We were literally five feet from her. She climbed on top of the hood and started an emotional tirade against the police, Officer Wilson, Prosecutor Bob McCullough and the grand jury process in general. At the same time, a loudspeaker was playing the audio of the prosecutor explaining the decision from the grand jury. Eventually, it filtered out that Wilson would not be indicted and the anger and tension could be felt rising. Then, Leslie McSpadden's husband climbed on top of the hood to comfort his wife and then that is when he uttered his infamous words: "BURN THIS B*TCH DOWN, BURN THIS B*TCH DOWN in a steady cadence.
You could literally feel the tension rise to a dangerous and feverish pitch. The crowd was yelling "we're with you sister," and "we're going to get justice tonight!" I tapped on the shoulder of my friend that I thought it was time to leave and that the situation felt unsafe. A few others felt the same as they started slowly leaving. Then after McSpadden's husband finished his rant, two gunshots rang out in close proximity to the stage and then all hell broke lose. Everyone just started running away away from the police station down the middle of the street. More police were behind us and then they started moving in in full riot gear. As we're running towards the car, a gray SUV was parked in a business parking lot. Someone in the car fired of five quick shots in the air and then took off.
By that time the demonstrators had left their position by the police station and proceeded to march down South Florissant avenue where they were met by a line of police officers in riot gear. The adrenaline, mixed with fear, was coursing through my body as we inadvertently passed the side street where we parked. Admittedly, I have never been that afraid in my life. All we were thinking about was getting the hell out of there! As we were heading to the car, reinforcement officers were pouring in to shore up the officers who were being flanked by more demonstrators heading to the scene.
We passed the street where we parked so we doubled back and was met by an aggressive supervisor cop who told us to go in a different direction. Pointing, we told him politely that our car was in that direction but he still insisted authoritatively that we go in the opposite direction from the car. My friend respectfully insisted we had a legal right to walk on the sidewalk and then the officer said he was only "suggesting" we not walk on the sidewalk. Again we told him our car was in a different direction and then he said rather briskly, "go for it it." Then we heard tear gas canisters go off and more gun shots as we're driving away. We drove to the periphery of the mayhem, parked, and then listened live to President Obama calling for peace while watching smoke from smoke bombs waffling into the air.

In conclusion, you had two types of protestors in Ferguson that night and both were not peaceful. You had those hell bent on destruction, looting and rioting. And you had those out there who were not doing those activities but who were encouraging the looters and urging them on. In my opinion, they are both just as culpable for the destruction and mayhem that occurred that night.

A grand jury chose not to indict a New York City police officer Wednesday for causing the death of New York City resident Eric Garner. There was ample evidence to indict; and the grand jury made a grievous error by not doing so. I say this not having seen the evidence before the grand jury, not having seen the medical reports, and not having heard what the District Attorney said to the grand jury.
But I have seen a videotape of the incident and it reveals probable cause to show that the police officer used grossly excessive force on a non-violent, non-threatening person. It also reveals he cried and screamed for help because by compacting his chest, his breathing was impaired. The police did nothing to save his live; yet they accelerated his death needlessly. On the basis of the tape alone, I have a clean conscience making such an assertion that an indictment was warranted. The job of a properly instructed grand jury is not to assess guilt or innocence, not to decide who was right or wrong, but solely to determine if there is enough evidence to charge a defendant in a given case.
Garner was selling cigarettes to homeless folks for a dollar. That is the moral equivalent of jay-walking. He should have been sent to another street corner with a warning, rather than arrested for this harmless behavior. We don’t live in a society in which every conceivable criminal charge should be brought against every conceivable defendant. There have been such societies, and we have fought wars against them. Have we won those wars only to become like the governments that we eradicated?

- To Israel, “We have not only made sure that they [Iran] have to stop adding additional centrifuges, we’ve also said that they’ve got to roll back their 20 percent advanced enrichment … down to zero.” In fact, the deal allows Iran uranium enrichment of 5 percent.

Wanton destruction of people's stuff. Isn't it great? Gawker sure thinks so—and argues that there are undeniable benefits. But wait: Don't hurl your laptop or smart phone through your local convenience store's front window just yet! Let's examine this claim.
Matt Bruenig, a writer for Demos and Salon, penned the article, titled "Actually, Riots are Good: The Economic Case for Riots in Feguson." Contrary to what the headline suggests, Bruenig doesn't actually commit the broken window fallacy and argue, as some Keynesians do, that destruction is economically beneficial. One has to dig deep down into the article—past a deeply misleading claim that "rioting is economically efficient"—to get to the crux of the argument.
Bruenig thinks that under certain conditions, rioting is efficient because it punishes the police for their bad behavior. If police react to riots by killing fewer black teenagers, then the cost in lives saved (in real dollars) outweighs the property destruction.

The shooting death of Michael Brown which prompted yet another wave of rioting and looting in Ferguson, Missouri has been framed by much of the media as another example of an innocent unarmed African-American being brutally murdered by a white police officer.
This narrative has been hijacked by the establishment to foment racial tension and division between blacks and whites.
There’s no doubt that blacks in America are indiscriminately targeted in acts of police brutality that occur on a regular basis. However, the Michael Brown shooting clearly does not represent such an example.

Evidence considered by the Grand Jury which led to the acquittal of Officer Darren Wilson clearly indicates that Brown, a thug who had written rap lyrics advocating violence and robbed a convenience store shortly before the incident, punched Wilson in the face, tried to grab his gun and then aggressively charged him. Evidence also points to the fact that Brown did not have his hands up in surrender when he was shot. This account is based on forensic proof – ballistics and autopsy evidence – as well as testimony from black eyewitnesses.
These facts clearly exonerate Wilson and verify his account of the incident. Michael Brown’s death was tragic, but Wilson clearly acted in legitimate self-defense.
The sad reality that such facts have been universally ignored by protesters and rioters, who have hijacked the case as an excuse to cause mayhem and justify looting, only serves to discredit legitimate opposition to the very real problem of police brutality.

7. Divorce is an indisputable right of men and a woman can be divorced without any prior consultation.
8. A married woman cannot travel, work, join organization, go to college or visit her friends and relatives without husband’s permission.
9. Married women cannot travel overseas without a written permission from their husbands. This written permission must be presented to the authorities. Islamic Leaders are also considering banning all women from traveling overseas for higher study.
10. A husband can inflict any physical violence or any other form of torture on a woman.
11. Women are stoned to death if their husbands charge them for adultery.
12. Women political prisoners are treated as war criminals. So, they are captives (right hand’s possession). Therefore, their guards can do whatever they like. Their captors regularly and systematically rape them (the women prisoners).
Virgin girls who are sentenced to death are not executed till their captors had sex with them and rendered them un-virgin. This type of sexual intercourse with virgin girl prisoners takes place on a daily basis.

The Tea Party movement is an American political movement known for its conservative positions and its role in the Republican Party ("GOP"). It demands a reduction in the U.S. national debt and federal budget deficit by reducing government spending and taxes.^[1][2] The movement has been described a mix of libertarian,^[3] populist,^[4] and conservative^[5] activists. It has sponsored multiple protests and supported various political candidates since 2009.^[6][7][8] It was successful in 2010, when the Republicans made major gains. It failed to defeat President Barack Obama's reelection in 2012. In 2013 it had escalating conflicts with the big business wing of the GOP, which began organizing to fight back.^[9] In the 2014 GOP primaries, the Tea Party's most high profile victory was the defeat of Eric Cantor, the #2 House leader who was attacked for being too close to Wall Street.^[10] The most serious defeat for the Tea Party came in Mississippi, where it failed in a bitter challenge to the renomination of Senator Thad Cochran. Commentators saw a "civil war" underway inside the GOP between Tea Party elements and the business-oriented establishment. CQ's Chuck McCutcheon says the fight is "whether the GOP should run candidates who are ideologically devoted to a strict limited-government agenda (the tea party's belief) or those with the broadest possible political appeal in their states and districts (the establishment's)."^[11]
Demonstrators at the U.S. Capitol celebrated the movement's five-year anniversary in February 2014. Various polls have found that slightly over 10% of Americans identify as a member.^[12]
The name refers to the Boston Tea Party of December 16, 1773.^{[13][14][15][16]} Anti-tax protesters in the United States have cited the original Boston Tea Party as their inspiration.^[17][18][19] References to the Boston Tea Party were part of Tax Day protests held in the 1990s and before.^{[20][21][22][23]}
The origins of the current Tea Party movement can be traced back to circa 2007. The movement's beginnings were kick-started by Republican Congressman Dr. Ron Paul in 2007. His GOP presidential campaign received a 24 hour, record breaking, money bomb on December 16, 2007;^[24] which is the 234th anniversary of the Boston Tea Party. This event directly contributed to creating a libertarian revival and divide in the Republican Party.^[25][26][27] Ron Paul continues to be a prominent force in the Tea Party movement, such as endorsing Tea party candidates,^[28] and also giving talks and speeches alongside prominent Tea party activist, and 2008 Vice Presidential candidate, Sarah Palin.^[29][30] Sarah Palin has at times disagreed with Paul on foreign policy,^[31] but eventually Sarah Palin changed her views on foreign policy and interventionism because of Ron Paul's inspiration and stance on limited government.^[32] In 2012 she defended him against critics by saying, "[Paul's] the only one doing something about reining in government growth."^[33] Ron Paul had a direct affect on changing other prominent Republican's beliefs on the Federal Reserve. Rick Perry, Mitt Romney, Sarah Palin and many others changed their views about the Federal Reserve after hearing Paul's opinions on the matter.^[34]

This is an unprecedented assault on the Constitution, the separation of powers, and the rule of law in the United States. President Obama today told millions of people, “If you broke our laws to enter this country, we will not prosecute you. We will not deport you.”
Despite the President’s assurance that he is “not an emperor,” that’s exactly what he’s acting like. He’s a former law professor. He knows the Constitution vests Congress (not the Executive branch) with authority over immigration and naturalization. He just doesn’t care. This is a thumb in the eye to the American people.
This is not a partisan issue. Liberal law professor Jonathan Turley said, “What the President is suggesting is tearing at the very fabric of our Constitution.”
It is time for Congress, with its power of the purse, to de-fund executive amnesty. Congressman Matt Salmon of Arizona has led this effort in the House of Representatives, and we’re asking everyone to contact their Members of Congress and ask them to support his efforts. President Obama learned nothing from the wave election that repudiated him, his policies and his party. He can ignore that message at his peril; what remains to be seen is if GOP majorities in both houses of Congress have the spine to stand up to him.
This is a Constitutional Republic, not a banana republic. It’s time we all started acting like it.

NSA comes snooping

An internal document issued by IT experts working for the German federal government warned national agencies and companies not to use Windows 8. The reason? An alleged backdoor exploit has been discovered, and the details were obtained and published by German site Zeit Online. The leaked message suggests that the NSA likely has access to a hidden feature which apparently can’t be shut off and allows Microsoft to remotely control any computer running the software.
The Windows 8 feature under scrutiny by the German government is called Trusted Computing, a backdoor setting established ten years ago by a number of American tech giants including Microsoft, HP and IBM.
